The Australian Sporting Alliance for People with a Disability Series.
where sport and pop culture collide
Australia has an incredible disability sport pathway, but it's something we don't talk about enough. For this special season on Sportish, we worked with the Australian Sporting Alliance for People with a Disability (ASAPD) to tell the stories of disability sport and help kids, teenagers and families find a pathway that's right for them. From paratriathlon, to blind cricket, to the Transplant and Vertus Games, as well as equestrian, this season brings to life the community and elite perspectives of disability sport. We hope you love it!

About Your Hosts
Hey, We’re Georgie and Libby Trickett
TWO SISTERS-IN-LAW AND great mates WHO LOVE SPORT - AND WANT YOU TO LOVE IT TOO
We talk about sport from a real life lens, sharing our honest personal takes in a way that feels relatable and interesting even for ‘sportish’ people who aren’t elite athletes.
We’re firmly in the camp of ‘not taking ourselves too seriously.’ (No sports snobbery here).
And we’re always curious, which means we don’t just cover the same old stuff. We dive right in, happy to ask all the silly questions.
We talk about a variety of sports – not just NRL and AFL, but the grassroots stories that highlight the broader experience of sport.
Think outside-of-the mainstream stuff like Nippers programs (designed for special needs families), Muslim women’s cycling programs, 10 year old girls entering a team in a boys’ AFL competition, adventure athletes and yep, extreme sports (because while we could never be extreme, we can't stop watching).
In short: we’re here to help you feel proud to call yourself ‘sportish’.
